Scotch Pine Oil
Botanical Name: Pinus Sylvestris
Extracted from the pine needles by steam distillation.Scotch Pine is the only pine native to northern Europe. The distinctive scent of pine is rejuvenating to the spirit, and this particular version is among the most sophisticated, having earthy, fresh, and slightly sweet characteristics all at once.
Used in cleaning products, air fresheners, and seasonal holiday décor. Has ceremonial uses among native tribes.

Jen’s blending notes:
Being a top note but an earthy scent makes this oil fun to work with. A little goes a long way. It blends very well with citrus and herbaceous oils. Just a few drops adds depth to blends that are heavy on earthy base and middle notes.
Jen’s soapmaking notes:
The more delicate notes will burn off in high heat, but the lovely earthy woodsy notes shine through.
Pine oils will tend to slow trace.
